For as long as I can remember I have been on a diet.
At school I the ‘fat’ kid had the healthiest lunches so why am I fat?
Was it because I stole chocolate and biscuits out of the cupboard at home (yes I did actually do this!)
or was it the ‘I’m going to fail’ attitude?
To be honest it is probably a list of things, too many treats, not enough exercise, big portions, seconds blah blah blah
So what has changed now?
This time I am in no rush my target is for 2016 so I have time to have a steady loss without ruling out all naughtiness because lets face it what is better, a sneaky chocolate bar on a Saturday night or no chocolate whatsoever well until the withdrawal symptoms get the better of you and you find yourself eating a jar of Nutella with your fingers whilst shovelling in a Cadbury Dairy milk Family bar.
People are increasingly too strict and hard on themselves, for most overweight people like myself we are talking about a lifestyle change for the greater good. That said I doubt you would last your whole life minus chocolate or the occasional take away, so stop being hard on yourself have your treat then get back to the healthiness the next day.
